The mission

The mission of Root and Rise Yoga is to provide a safe space to practice yoga and cultivate love, kindness and non-judgement of self and others. In our ever-changing environment, I have found there has been an influx of competition in the yoga world. I wanted to create a space where yoga is accessible and everyone truly feels welcome to express movement with connection to the breath, while practicing awareness and alignment. Our minds create so much noise and a narrative all on their own. Root and Rise Yoga is a space where all of that can be left at the door and you are able to fill your cup, find gratitude and shift perspective through the practice.

With a lifelong love for movement and creativity, I made a choice to take a yoga class over 12 years ago and have never looked back! After experiencing challenges in my life, I have dived into the yoga practice to find a way to connect to my body, remove the noise in my mind, and find peace and healing - even in the midst of chaos. In 2024, I made the choice to sign up for a nine-month, 235-hour Yoga Teacher Training to deepen my knowledge of the practice with zero intention of teaching. Well, one year later here I am creating a space of my own and am currently enrolled in a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training. There is nothing quite like seeing a student progress in a physical and mental space, and to aid in that process is such an honor! I cannot tell you how much joy it truly brings me. 


For me, the goal of yoga is not the peak posture. The goal of yoga is to remove the layers of protection that I have built around me to unveil softness, to quiet the mind and the lies it tells, and to love myself. As exactly who I am and where I am. I do not come to my mat to accomplish, but to feel and to shift the focus, so my heart can grow. It is my hope that I can help you do the same. Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow 2.0

A practice connecting movement and breath as we flow for one hour. In this class you can expect a mix of traditional and novelty. Beginning class with pranayama (breath control) and warming up the body through a series of movements to prepare you for the practice. Sun salutations, or variance of, are to be expected as we move dynamically

Modifications offered. 

Vinyasa Flow 2.0

Vinyasa Flow 2.0

One hour practice in a warmed studio between 80 and 85 degrees. The Vinyasa Flow 2.0 is a practice to challenge the body and mind, while drawing awareness to the breath. This flow will contain dynamic movements, creative sequencing/transitions, a peak posture, inversions, arm balances, twists, back bends and room to play/advance in your practice. Prior yoga experience is recommended, not required.

Gentle Flow

Vinyasa Flow 2.0

Gentle Flow

A practice with intentional movement and mobility to create space in the body for one hour. This slow flow class taps into the breath to allow us to focus on opening the heart, mind and physical body while providing a range of traditional asanas (postures) and transitions. You can expect a deep stretch towards the end of class to expand and lengthen the muscles. A great class for beginners!

Frequently asked questions

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR CLASS?

We kindly require everyone to register for all classes in advance. You can do this on our website or via the MindBody App. 

DO YOU HAVE A YOGA MAT I CAN RENT?

We do not offer yoga mat rentals; however, we do have a few loaner mats available in the studio. These are available at a first come, first serve basis. If you regularly practice yoga, it is encouraged to purchase/bring your own mat with you to practice. 

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

We understand that sometimes schedules change and you’re unable to make it to class. If you cannot attend, kindly cancel your booking via the MindBody application at least 2 hours before class. If you cancel after that, you’ll be marked as a ‘late cancel’ and will not be refunded for the class or the class will be removed from your class package, if applicable. 


If you need assistance with cancelling, please keep in mind that you can always email/call us before class begins and we’ll take care of it for you! Just be aware if it is within 2 hours prior to start time, no refund will be issued. 


Try as best as you can to plan ahead and communicate if you won’t be there so we can add people in off the waitlist and open up spots!
